With reference to Table 7.3, the percentage of respondents joining the survey: gender-wise 56.59% were male and 43.41% were female. Regarding the composition of age, 65.63% were in the 18–22 range, 22.16% were in the age group 23–26, and the rest were above 26 years of age. In the composition of various branches of B. Tech, 22.22% were from the CS stream, 18.60% were from EC, 17.83% were from EEE, 20.93% consisted of Mechanical engineering students, and the remaining were from Biotechnology. The composition of the nature of institution included 26.87% from Private universities, 19.64% from Autonomous institutions, 29.20% from Private institutions, and the rest were from Government organizations. Regarding religion, 30.23% were Hindus, 17.57% were Muslims, 14.47% were Christians, and the rest were others. In the case of residential status, 29.46% were from rural areas, 21.71% were from semi-urban regions, and the rest were from urban areas. About the knowledge of AR and VR, 60.46% were good and the rest were acceptable knowledge.
